Luis is a systems architect and technology leader with over 25 years building and operating production software — from InsurTech platforms behind nine-figure annual revenue to AI-driven customer engagement systems used across the insurance industry.
He most recently served as VP of Software Engineering at One Agency, brought in to lead a major platform turnaround for a billion-dollar vacation and lifestyle conglomerate. Within six weeks he architected a fully automated platform that replaced manual engineering work with agentic coding, container orchestration, and automated provisioning, bringing new speed and stability to a fast-growing engineering team.
For fourteen years prior, as Chief Technology Officer of Insurance Care Direct, he architected the company's proprietary cross-carrier rate quoting, application submission, and advance commission platform, and led the team that built a real-time predictive dialer with machine-learning regulatory compliance. That work included co-inventing a portfolio of patented AI insurance technology, alongside direct collaboration with state insurance regulators and outside counsel.
His path into enterprise technology started as an entrepreneur — founding a CCaaS (Call Center as a Service) company and consulting independently on real-time lead-distribution platforms for the InsurTech industry. Earlier still, he built database-driven web applications for national media brands and SMS infrastructure for an international mobile network.
Today his focus is applied AI — large language models, natural-language processing, and conversational systems — brought together with the same full-stack and infrastructure discipline that has run production systems for two and a half decades.
